It is our pleasure to invite you to the International Conference “Food/Feed Quality, Safety and Risks in Agriculture“ organised by Estonian Research Institute of Agriculture from 25-28 October, 2011 in Tallinn, Estonia. The Conference is organized under the umbrella of the EU FP7 REGPOT project FLAVOURE („Food and feed LAboratory of Varied and OUtstanding Research in Estonia) to celebrate the successful implementation of the project activities.

Aim of the Conference

This conference aims to demonstrate the role of research in developing new technologies which able to ensure food/feed quality as well as to identify and reduce the risk factors in production chain.

With this conference we wish to bring together researchers working with different aspects of food and feed quality and safety, as well as industry representatives and other stakeholders of agricultural and food sector to share their experiences and ideas and to explain the possibilities for making efficient use of research results from the commercial point of view and for enabling a sustainable use of resources.  

The Conference will focus on the following main areas:

  1. Technological aspects of food quality;
    In this session presentations are expected to cover the technologies that influence the quality of foods of plant and animal origin as well as food processing technology, including packaging and producing.

  2. Technological aspects of feed quality;
    In this section presentations are expected to focus on the technological aspects that influence the quality of feeds used for production animals, or to reflect on the connections between feed quality, animal health and their impact on the end product.

  3. Risks related to food quality and safety in production chain.
    The expected presentations concentrate on the potential risk factors in all parts of the food production chain from field and production animal to end consumers.
